Competitive Event Evaluators

Evaluators have the opportunity to volunteer on-site on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 1:00-7:00pm or Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 8:00am-2:00pm or both days, if they wish! There will be an Evaluator Orientation hosted on each day (which is included in the times listed). Some events on these days also have pre-scoring components that will need to be completed online prior to the in-person competition. The events that have pre-scored components that will be evaluated by the on-site evaluators prior to the competition are:

• Educators Rising Leadership Award – essay & portfolio artifacts
• Ethical Dilemma – written analysis of the dilemma
• Lesson Planning & Delivery (all subject areas) – lesson plan
• PSA: Teacher Recruitment – PSA video
• Researching Learning Challenges – position paper

Additionally, evaluators can assist with Online Pre-Scoring from February 14-20, 2026. This entails reviewing and scoring student submissions on their own schedule prior to the in-person event; no travel required! The events that have pre-scored components that will be evaluated by the pre-scoring evaluators are:

• Creative Lecture – written speech
• Educators Rising Moment – written speech
• Educators Rising Spanish – written speech
• Exploring Education Administration Careers – administrator verification & interview forms
• Exploring Student Support Services Careers – support professional verification & interview forms
• Exploring Non-Core Teaching Careers – teacher verification & interview forms
• Inside Our Schools – video
• Inside Our Schools Spanish – video
• Job Interview – cover letter & resume
• Public Speaking – written speech

An Evaluator Q&A will be hosted via Zoom on Monday, February 16 from 4:30-5:30pm CST, where event information will be shared as well as provide time for evaluators to ask questions. It is not required to attend this event.

Interested individuals should complete the Evaluator Interest Form by February 5, 2026.
